I think i’m the first Fijian to ride the 7km luge (sled) course in Val Thororns with a fully loaded LowePro AW450 backpack. That was hard! But I had to take my gear with me to the top to take pictures and videos! Im still hurting from yesterday, i’m getting too old for this shit! lol
We take a ski lift to the top which sits at approximately 3200m AMSL but the drone barometer registered 2800m so maybe 3200m is at the peak and not at the summit station.
The ride down normally takes 30 minutes but we did around 50 minutes because of crashes, and stops along the way.
Val Thorens, located in the Tarentaise Valley, Savoie, French Alps, located at an altitude of 2300m, is the highest ski town in Europe. It is located in the commune of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville in the Savoie département.
